JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Six Points Evaluation and Training is seeking a Business Manager. The Business Manager provides support services in the daily operation of business and financial functions and is responsible for assisting the Executive Director and staff in maintaining a total accredited program of services; bookkeeping; maintaining accurate accounting systems in accordance with auditors’ expectations and instructions; payroll; preparing the monthly billing of services; and preparing financials/budgets for board meetings all in support of the Six Points Mission Statement.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience of accounting and bookkeeping and excellent communication skills. Must have knowledge working with Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks. Education and/or experience in a nonprofit business environment are preferred.

BUSINESS MANAGER

Job Description

 PURPOSE:

To provide support services in the daily operation of business and financial functions at Six Points Evaluation and Training in accordance with the Six Points Mission Statement.

Supervision

The Executive Director (Director) will directly supervise and evaluate the Business Manager.

Program Support

  • Maintains all records/files for all employees, clients and vendors and manages all business functions with respect to individual record requirements.
  • Storage and destruction of financial, employee and client records per state/federal requirements.
  • Assists with public assistance forms for clients.
  • Maintains records to support staff training in all departments, including all state and local mandated training for required certification including but not limited to CPR, First Aid, and driver’s licenses.
  • Maintains/administers all documentation for vehicle maintenance and insurance policies for corporation.
  • Serves as liaison among Director, staff and board regarding health plans and employee benefits.
  • Attends designated staff meetings, in-services, staff development activities and other meetings as assigned by the Director
  • Supports staff with financial and business functions as necessary or as assigned by Director.
  • Participates in weekly manager meetings.
  • Assists the Director and staff in maintaining a total accredited program of services.
  • Oversees inventories and ordering/payment of building/office supplies
  • Serves as the gaming coordinator for all state-licensed Six Points raffles, including maintaining licensing, rules verification and all accounting and reporting.
  • Assists with cleaning, maintenance and overall appearance of facility and grounds.
  • Assists in Thrift Store as approved by the Director.

Accounting and Bookkeeping

  • Administers and maintains accurate accounting systems including:
  • Payables
  • Monthly vendor billings
  • Agency payroll, PTO tracking and reports and related records
  • Client services billings and utilization tracking
  • Reconciling bank accounts
  • Overseeing and preparing deposits for delivery by the Director
  • Prepares and submits weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for taxes, insurance, funding sources, property expenses and consumer records as requested by the Board or the Director.
  • Assists Program Managers with development and implementation of program budgets.
  • Prepares and provides monthly, quarterly and annual financials/budget reports for board meetings.
  • Manages and administers all accounting and annual audit requirements.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate accounting/financial statements: including chart of accounts, general ledger and financial statements.
  • Assists Program Managers in developing and maintaining accurate accounting systems specific to individual program needs (i.e. Personal Needs Funds).
  • Assists the Board, Director and Program Managers in the development, preparation and on-going management of the organization’s budget.
  • Maintains accurate accounting systems in accordance with auditors’ expectations and instructions; provides auditor with financial/accounting data and records as requested; and, reviews audit results with Director and Board Treasurer.
